| The
Annual Pencoed Show
This is arguably one of the most
popular shows in peoples calendar. We typically have about
400 entrants and as long as you are not a late entry, admission
is free.
It is held at an almost ideal location
- the grounds of the Pencoed Agricultural College.
Some of the benefits are large fields that we can utilise
for public parking and very direct access to junction 35
of the M4 Motorway. We are very fortunate indeed to have
an excellent relationship with the College Principal Adrian
Beynon and his staff.
Many clubs arrive together and set
up their own stands. The event attracts not only cars, but
motorcycles, agricultural machinery and stationary engines.
We are also supported by military vehicles, trucks and an
excellent collection of Autojumble stalls.
It is a family event, with bars,
food and refreshment tents, Ice cream vendors, bouncy castle
and fun fair. Normally the Pencoed Silver Band are in attendance
as well as a Cheerleader group.
The 2008 show will take
place on Sunday 11th May. If
you wish to exhibit it is necessary to complete a
show entry form and submit this to the show secretary prior
to 1st April. Entries received after this date (or indeed
on the day of the show), will incur a £10 late entry
fee. You can obtain a copy of the form by
clicking here,
printing the form, filling it in and returning to David
Newman at the address indicated on the form. Any queries
relating to vehicle exhibits should be directed to David
by either ringing him on 01446 773868 or via email to david@swccc.net
via the link on the left of this line.
If you wish to book space for Autojumble
this is available at £1 per foot, with a minimum charge
of £15 for a 15 foot plot. This must be pre-booked
by speaking to Nigel Taylor
on 02920 778248.
Similarly, trade stand queries should
be directed to Vaughan Jones
on 02920 890234
Members of the public visiting
on the day will be charged £5 per adult, £2
for Senior Citizens and £1 per child. All of this
money goes to charity.
