28th  Drive it Day
              This is when the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs
               encourage owners to get their historic cars out onto the open road
               in order to make the general public aware of our existence.
               The date held is the anniversary of the first 1000 mile trial
               originally held in 1900.
               This year it follows the norm of meet, drive,  tea stop, drive, lunch
               Plans are underway for the run  by kim and dave hyde  (events
               officer) but I can tell you we are staying in our green and
               pleasant land.
               anniversary plaques will be available at £8.95 each.
               these either with or without the year added
               orders will be taken closer to the date as group discounts are
               available with considerable savings
               £5 per person deposit required to either Kim or Malcolm
               Balance due at April meeting

           I attended last year and saw a variety of cars and motorcycles
           that do not venture east........even 2 DeLoreans at the same show
           The site makes an excellent venue ....   well worth the trip.

            Arrive from 08.30 -10.00  Show starts at 10.30
            All vehicles must remain on showground until 4 p.m.
            Register on line by 30th April. For pre 95 vehicles only
          
 
JUNE
 
2nd  Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club show
        Annual show to be held at Scolton Manor, Haverford West
            SA62 5QL on the B4329  towards Cardigan.
            Access to show field ends at 10 a.m.
            All exhibitors to remain on site until  4p.m.
            Entry on day subject to late entry fee of £5 (Cash)
            Application forms to be received by May 1st.

22ND/23RD Armed forces Day" A Day to remember"
         being held at Waunfawr Park, Crosskeys, Caerphilly
         Tim Sturges(Lt. Col retired the organiser requests the attendance
         of a classic car display.
         Event hosted by Royal British Legion Band Of Wales  to help
         raise funds for Poppy Appeal and band running costs
         Last years event had over 8,000 visitors with fun fair, classic
         cars over 100 market/food stalls. With 2 pubs

        There will be NO vehicle movement between 08.30 and 17.30
        throughout the site on show day.
        They will have the means to enforce this H and S requirement.

22nd  There will be a 1940's swingtime evening in a marquee

          This is a ticket only entrance for £12.50.

           Entry limites to 100 cars with £25 entry fee for each car which will
           include full route instructions and "rally plaque"
           At end of rally a certificate and photograph will be awarded.
           All profits to go to Charities supported by Chepstow Rotary Club
