Congratulations to everyone that helped with our Annual Classic Car Show on 7th May. It has to have been the best ever ! Or so I'm told. (I always say that the one show that I would dearly like to walk around is our show, but unfortunately I never get the opportunity). I have received many positive remarks / comments re. the show both on the day and afterwards; it appears that we are hitting the right spot, but it does seem to be getting harder each year.

We were once again blessed with good weather considering the rain on the Saturday evening and again on the Sunday evening. Our treasurer John Miles also tells us that it is probably the most successful show financially & is busy paying the bills; I'm sure we will have some final figures from John very soon.

Many thanks once again to all who helped in whatever capacity. A special mention I feel must go to Alan Davies for helping me with lots of work on the Friday before & the Monday after and of course the Saturday and Sunday from very early until about 9pm. Another special mention must go to David Taylor, Nigel's son; David is not even a club member but worked with us all tirelessly on the Saturday and Sunday, well done guys.

It was good to see Derek and Pat Farr again at our show. They presented a new Trophy to the club and on the day of the show decided to award it to the 'Best Supportive Female.' This year they suggested it be award to Janet, who I must say gives me 100% support ! Many thanks Derek and Pat for donating such a fine Trophy and deciding on such a worthy catagory, of course, this is to be awarded annually.
